So welcome to the club, forced vaycayers. I have great news! The Word of God beckons YOU to draw near. What a great time to dust off your Bible and dive in anew!

I love God's Word, the Bible. I savor the juicy morsels every morning, then meditate on them throughout the day. It wasn't always like this. His Word was a chore. I haphazardly approached my Jesus, aimlessly. After years of knowing my Word life was not right, I sought the Lord for wisdom, invented the 6-Tab System and never looked back. Systematically studying the Word is delicious and so very nutritious. I needed that outside discipline and direction, and am amazed again and again how scriptures pop off the page from the Lord's heart right to mine in context!

For the History tab, I prefer the green post it flag. Green reminds me of new life and creation. Read from Genesis to Esther over and over again. Next time through, I am going to harmonize Kings and Chronicles! Then maybe a chronological study the next time through, assuming JESUS doesn’t return!!!

For some reason I prefer the blue tabby for the Psalm tab. You can learn to emote if you were not born that way. Life has many blue moments and Psalms can get you through. Place tab on Psalm 1 and read a psalm a day to 150. In a lifetime, you will NEVER mine the depths of the Psalms! On this trip through, I am reading them chronologically. When going through my mama's treasures after she passed away, I found her ratty, loved chronological Bible reading road map. I used it to compose my next trip through the Psalms. Hopefully u can read my wretched handwriting! My beautiful mama had the same awful handwriting!! Funny what brings you comfort after the death of a loved one!

For the wisdom tab, I like pink for some reason, but purple is a close second! I do Proverbs-Ecclesiastes over and over and over. Another diamond mine you will never suck all the riches from this side of heaven.

The prophet tab is yellow in my universe. It starts in Job skips Psalms, Proverbs, and Ecclesiastes, picks up at Song of Solomon and goes to the end of Old Testament. I throw in Job and song of Solomon actually considered wisdom books in with the prophet tab. But feel free to tweak to your preference!

The Gospel tab is red for the blood of Jesus. Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John over and over again. Read the red and meet Jesus! I have 4 red tabs and have harmonized the gospels. Never lose the wonder of the Savior! That is what Nancy Leigh DeMoss Wolgemuth from Reviveourhearts.com has reminded me over the years.

The orange tab is my New Testament tab. Acts-Revelation! You can switch it up and read chronologically.

If you are one of those people who thrive on extra credit assignments, add a memorize tab! Pick a book or chapter to memorize with the color of your choice. Jude was the first book I memorized. So timely in this season of falsehood on every corner!!!

Riches upon riches of Living Truth will change you. That is the point of the Word. When Jesus saved me over 25 years ago, He refused to leave me in the wretched condition He found me. He washed me in the costliest bath of all--His precious blood!

Titus 3:3-8 NKJV 3 For we ourselves were also once foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful and hating one another. 4 But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared, 5 not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, 6 whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior, 7 that having been justified by His grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.8 This is a faithful saying, and these things I want you to affirm constantly, that those who have believed in God should be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable to men.
